Coordinated development of The Gator Times, the student-focused push-pull news service which reaches all UF undergraduate students via weekly e-mail, linking them to the Gator Times news web site, www.gatortimes.ufl.edu. This information system continues to lead students to experiential opportunities as well as keeping them informed about campus academic and co-curricular activities
Provided leadership for development of CALS state-wide undergraduate and graduate distance delivery programs, including organization of faculty training and support as well as development of over 40 courses for delivery by distance technology
Conceptualized and implemented three new service-based learning academic minors for UF students in the areas of Organizational Leadership for Non-Profits; Leadership; and International Humanitarian Assistance
Chaired UF student judicial system review committee for the UF Board of Trustees leading to new procedures more favorable to faculty and students
Participated in development of the accelerated combined degree programs for high-achieving UF undergraduates ready for graduate education
Chaired UF Undergraduate Advising Committee promoting best practices in advising for UF advisers
Served on the UF Enrollment Management Council which coordinated freshman and transfer admissions and provision of high demand courses for UF
Over-saw significant curriculum changes for CALS, including development of numerous minors and interdisciplinary graduate and undergraduate curriculum enhancements
Participated in the development of a freshman year experience course for UF freshmen, First Year Florida
Over-saw award of CALS Graduate Alumni Fellowships and administered CALS undergraduate scholarship portfolio
Traveled to Costa Rica, Honduras, and Ecuador to formalize international student exchange agreements for CALS
Oversaw expansion of CALS undergraduate and graduate enrollment to record levels while maintaining a high quality and diverse student body
Participated in numerous faculty development initiatives, including conceptualization of the annual CALS Teaching Enhancement Symposium
Implemented recommendations of the IFAS Internationalization Task Force resulting in the CALS Global Gators International Programs, new international courses, and an International Minor in Agricultural and Life Sciences
Expanded 2+2 articulation agreement with Florida A&M University to include additional CALS majors
Coordinated revision of the Early Admission Dental Program with the UF Dental School to create the Honors B.S-DMD Program and facilitated CALS participation in the UF Medical School Junior Honors Medical Program
Supervised Peace Corps recruitment activities at UF through a Peace Corps fellowship grant, positioning UF to be one of the top yielding campuses nationally
